“Test” Shoot
Test shoots are also incorrectly referred to as a "TF*" or "Trade for CD/Time for CD/Print" A Trade for CD/Print is done when a photographer and model both decide they want to work together with no money exchanging hands. The photographer brings his talent, the model theirs and together, they put their effort and energy into making good work together.
A test shoot is usually when a photographer or model wants to check one or both out, to see if they want to invest more time, money and energy into working with each other. Test shoots are so often over looked, that I feel both, models and photographers are missing out.
The Test shoot is usually an inexpensive way for a model to see if s/he is dedicated or has the desire to take modeling to the next step. Test shoots are usually, far less expensive than the other steps and involve far fewer shots and "Looks"*
My Test Shoots breaks down into the following:
- 30-45 minute session
- one outfit
- 6-7 images for consideration
- you will receive one digital image
