“Models don’t pay photographers, it’s TFCD or they (the model) get paid”
Last week I was doing a shoot with one of my most favorite models. The quick shoot ended up turning into a 10hour shoot and as a result, we got GREAT images! At the end of the shoot, she hung out and we talked a bit, catching up. We started talking about photography in Colorado and the lack of jobs for everyone. I explained to her that I'm personally trying to change that by bringing out models such as Playboy Model Carlotta Champagne, Penthouse Model SaraLiz and 5 Photography masters, as well as doing my work here to move the interest up. She then said she was contacted by a local photographer who told her he wanted to shoot her for a local calendar. She asked him what was the pay, and he told her that in this instance, he wouldn’t charge her. She then said “Model’s don’t pay photographers, either the photographers pay or it’s a trade job.†I didn’t give her the riot act, but I wanted to

Attention Models:
The first part of the year brings tons of fun and shooting your way! If you've wanted to take a shot at getting into Maxim, this is your chance. Hooters? this is your chance!
Maxim: Many models and wannabe models always say they want to get into Maxim. Sadly, Maxim is one of the most difficult magazines to get into. Why? cause the demand is so high! There ARE ways to get in, and Maxim's Home town hotties is the easiest way! "Neighborhood Knockouts" is another, but figure, according to their stats, there's over 100,000 submissions per year to get that 1/4 photo op.
Maxim (Just as Playboy) always says "You don't need professional photos for a shot" But let's be honest, you do. They want the best you they can see and sorry, but the mirror photos you had on Facebook just won't cut it. In fact, I had a model submit images to the hometown hotties and they rejected her. A month later, she submitted photos we took and was successfully entered into the competition.
Hooters: Every year, Hooters bar and grille has their calendar girl search. They take employee submissions only. The hard part is over for you, getting a job there. The next part is getting the photos. You can see the requirements here
The cool thing? This is my slow time of year, so I'm open and free to shoot! I've been published in FHM and Maxim online, so I know I have the quality. Let's be honest, magazine submission is 60% of what I do with model photography. Why? cause no one in the state of Colorado has more than me. Meaning? no one is as experienced as I at getting models published.

So this photo was from the day she flew in. Carlotta is AWESOME! She's coming back for my Meeting of the Masters event! This was from a one on one shoot I had with her, just me and her. We talked, laughed and had a great time and got some great images.
More oldies
Here's a few oldies but goodies taken back in 2007. Leah is her name and these were shot with the Canon EOS 20D and a softbox. This was a quick shoot, with not a lot of emphasis on photography, these were for a website she was the star of. In the website world, there isn't much emphasis on photography quality, just quantity. I still go for quality AND quantity

Almost caught up to the April Carlotta Champagne shoot lol. Took a break to review the images worth editing and decided to clean one up. This image was taken with a Photogenic PL1250DR and a Photogenic Beauty Dish up high. Nothing for fill, just harsh shadows. Carlotta's skin is almost a milky white, so I enjoy editing her photos to make them all white.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, I'm working on a HUUUGE workshop in May 2010 and that's been taking up all my time. My wife got on me about not updating Club SuperShoot blog, wanting me to put more photos on there. We're keeping that site no nudes, so I went through my images looking for non nude images. Came across Danika. She came in to shoot test images for a magazine. I fell out of contact with the mag but will contact them again since I have some images to show them now lol.

Sorry to be so long since an update! Been working on the new workshop page and getting that site going. I'm also going to have a HUGE announcement first week in August, so stay tuned for that.
Here's a model Steph, that I shot for a client. When I first saw her, I thought "Wow, she's beautiful" and didn't think anything of it. This was almost a year ago, if not a year ago? After looking at these images, I said out loud "Holy crap she's GORGEOUS!!" I only use that word every once in a while. She would be PERFECT for submission to Playboy! I think she'd get in with zero problems!! I'm going to ask her...soon lol. With a model like this, you don't want to come on strong (enthusiasm can be mistaken for games) or she'll think I just want to get her naked for the sake of getting her naked. I have to play the "Oh, in passing, would you be interested?" game

Been a few days since I've updated, sorry. I've been in some horrible pain, so I've not had much interest in doing anything other than laying down sleeping. But I'm kinda back! and Got some Carlotta Champagne photos for ya!
These were taken one on one with her. I shot her the day before the workshop just so I could have something different. Carlotta is truly a great model and was a blast to work with! I've found, some Playboy models are great to work with, while others....nah, not so much. These all were taken with a Photogenic 1250DR strobe and a Photogenic 24inch white beauty dish.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, here's two more images from Samantha. In case you don't remember, Samantha came into the studio a few weeks back wanting to submit. I've sent off a few images to Playboy CyberClub and they want to see more photos and more info from her. Lets keep our fingers crossed eh?

Rare..
Rare is it, that I find someone new, that I honestly can say I enjoyed shooting. Last person I can say that about, was a new model named Crystal. She was beautiful, fun, bubbly and sexy. I posted one composit of her a while back, haven't posted anything new. I will.
Today, I had in the studio, Samantha. I had only saw a head shot of her, and right off the bat I thought "She's gorgeous!" I was nervous of course, I hadn't seen her body LOL. We set up a few shoots and it didn't work out. Weather and other problems kept us from shooting. We agreed to set up a shoot for today at 630. I thought to myself: "Yea, sure, she's really going to show up" so I brought another model to a stream by my house. I've only shot four models there!! Anyway, Samantha shows up and WOW! I was stunned. She's not only intelligent, but shes gorgeous AND awesome to be around!
I'm dead tired, so I didn't clean up any image to perfection, but I will tomorrow! Here's one to hold you over:
